มาจิเคิ่ล พั้นช์ไลน์ (マジカル・パンチライン) หรือที่เรียกกันสั้นๆว่ามาจิพั้นช์ (マジパン) นั้นก่อตั้งวงขึ้นมาตั้งแต่วันที่ 19 กุมภาพันธ์ พ.ศ. 2559 ที่ผ่านมา โดยเริ่มจากการได้อดีตไอดอลที่เคยอยู่ในวงที่มีชื่อเสียงอย่างมากวงนึงในวงการอย่างไอดอลลิ่ง (Idoling!!!) ซึ่งเธอก็คือซาโต้ เรนะ (佐藤麗奈) นั่นเอง เธอเข้ามาเป็นแกนหลักของวงหลังจากที่วงไอดอลลิ่งนั้นยุบวงไป โดยตัวของเรนะเองนั่นก็ไม่ได้อยากละทิ้งความฝันที่อยากเป็นไอดอลของเธอเลย เธอจึงตัดสินใจกลับมาเป็นไอดอลอีกครั้งภายใต้ค่ายเพลงที่มีชื่อเสียงอย่าง Pony Canyon อีกครั้งโดยมีส่วนร่วมกับทั้งการออกแบบชุดและการพิจารณาเมมเบอร์ของวงจนกลายมาเป็นมาจิเคิ่ล พั้นช์ไลน์ ซึ่งที่มาของชื่อวงนั้นแบ่งเป็นสองคำ ซึ่งคำว่า Magical ก็หมายถึงการใช้เวท์มนตร์ ส่วน Punchline ก็หมายถึงบทพูดหรือการปล่อยมุขเด็ด เลยเกิดเป็นคำใหม่รวมกันว่า Magical Punchline หรือการปล่อยมุขเด็ดจากการใช้เวท์มนตร์นั่นเอง

MAGiCAL PUNCHLiNE (マジカル・パンチライン) or MAGiPAN (マジパン) was formed in 19^th February, 2016 and leaded by Sato Rena, the former member of Idoling!!! After the group have been disbanded on October last year, with the passion and determination to fulfill her dream by the intention of continuing to be an idol, she have continued to stay under the label of Pony Canyon and take part in designing costume as well as the audition process for her new group, MAGiCAL PUNCHLiNE. The meaning of the name came from two English words, which directly as the words are, they are the idol group that want to create magical punchline to the world.

สมาชิกในวงนั้นมีทั้งหมด 5 คน ประกอบไปด้วย อาซาโนะ อันนะ หรืออันจัง (浅野杏奈/ あんちゃん) อายุ 15 ปี ประจำสีชมพู/ โคยามะ รีนะ (小山リーナ/ りーな) อายุ 13 ปี ประจำสีเขียวมิ้นท์/ หัวหน้าวงซาโต้ เรนะ (佐藤麗奈/ さとれな) อายุ 17 ปี ประจำสีม่วง/ชิมิซุ ฮิมาวาริ หรือฮิมะ (清水ひまわり/ ひま) อายุ 13 ปี ประจำสีเหลือง/ และ โอคิคุชิ ยูนะ หรือโอคคี้(沖口優奈/ おっきー) อายุ 18 ปี ประจำสีฟ้า โดยคอนเซ็ปต์ของวงนั้นคือความเป็นสาวน้อยขี้เล่นและการใช้เวทมนตร์ โดยจะมีการพูดถึงการใช้เวทมนตร์และการปล่อยมุขล้อเลียนบ้าง ผสมผสานกันไปในความขี้เล่น น่ารักและสดใสของเมมเบอร์จึงกลายมาเป็นลักษณะเด่นของวงนี้ ทางด้านแนวเพลงของวง ทั้งซาวน์และอาร์ตเวิร์คต่างๆนั้นจะเน้นไปทางคอนเซ็ปต์เวทมนตร์ที่ได้แรงบรรดาลใจมาจากแนวแฟนตาซีจากภาพยนตร์ฝั่งตะวันตก อนิเมะแนวสาวน้อยเวทมนตร์ และเกมแนว RPG อีกด้วย และเพื่อให้เข้ากับคอนเซ็ปนี้พวกเธอได้สร้างโลกจำลองไว้ โดยแผนที่และรายละเอียดนั้นถูกระบุไว้ในเว็บไซต์กับหัวข้อมาจิพีเดีย (マジペディア) แผนที่ของโลกจำลองนี้จะถูกแบ่งแยกออกเป็นสองเขต ใช้ชื่อว่าแอสเกิร์ลส์ (Asgirl’s) และมิทเกิร์ลส์ (Midgirl’s) ซึ่งชื่อสถานที่ต่างๆภายในโลกแห่งนี้จะมีการล้อเลียนชื่อมาจากสถานที่ต่างๆ ที่มีอยู่จริงๆในญี่ปุ่นและชื่อบุคคลดังในวงการเวทมนตร์อีกด้วย

The group is compose of 5 members, which are Asano Anna or An-chan (浅野杏奈/ あんちゃん), 15 years old in charge of pink color/ Koyama Rina (小山リーナ/ りーな), 13 years old in charge of mint-green color/ leader Sato Rena (佐藤麗奈/ さとれな), 17 years old in charge of purple color/ Shimizu Himawari or Hima (清水ひまわり/ ひま), 13 years old in charge of yellow color/ and Okikuchi Yuna or Okki (沖口優奈/ おっきー), 18 years old in charge of light blue color. With the girly and magical concepts, their conversation topic will mostly be based on magic and parody, which goes along smoothly with the lively, lovely, and humorous personalities of the members. The group sound and artwork have been inspired by the western style magical fantasy movies, magical witch anime, and RPG games with dragon characters. To be related to their concepts, they have created their own magical world that can be looked up from their website in the option of Magipedia. The MAGiCAL PUNCHLiNE world have been divided into 2 main lands called Asgirl’s and Midgirl’s, which the name of each location in the map have been parodied from various locations in Japan as well as the name of infamous writer from the industry of magical fantasy.

นอกจากคอนเซ็ปต์วงที่ชัดเจนแล้ว จุดเด่นที่น่าสนใจและไม่เหมือนใครของพวกเธออีกหนึ่งอย่างนั้นคือออปชั่นที่เรียกว่า มาจิเคิ่ลเควส (マジカルクエスト) ซึ่งเป็นออปชั่นในเว็บไซต์ของพวกเธอ โดยแฟนๆสามารถสร้างแอคเคาท์ในเว็บไซต์และสามารถสร้างตัวละครของตัวเองขึ้นมาได้ด้วย! เท่านั้นยังไม่พอ ทุกๆครั้งที่แฟนๆซื้อสินค้าของพวกเธอ ไม่ว่าจะเป็นซีดี ของพรีเมี่ยมประจำวง หรือการไปร่วมงานแสดงต่างๆของพวกเธอ แฟนๆจะได้รับแต้มค่าประสบการณ์เพิ่มเพื่อให้ตัวละครนั้นเลเวลอัพและนำไปแลกของพิเศษต่างๆมากมายจากทางวงได้อีกด้วย นับเป็นออปชั่นที่น่าสนใจและทำให้แฟนๆสนุกไปกับการมีส่วนร่วมกับวงมากขึ้นอีกด้วย!

Apart from their outstanding concept, the option of “Magical Quest” is another interesting and distinctive idea that make them stand out among numerous of Japanese idols. This is also another option on their website where fans can create their own original character, which whenever they have purchased the group’s CDs, goods, or attending to their events or performances, they can earn experiences for the character to be upgraded and level up to receive special goods and services too. This is a very interesting proactive idea to attract fans to be involved with the group activities as well.

สำหรับผลงานของพวกเธอนั้น หลังจากที่มีอีเว้นท์เปิดตัวอย่างเป็นทางการไปเมื่อวันที่ 26 มีนาคมในปีนี้นั้น พวกเธอก็ได้ออกมินิอัลบั้มแรกที่มีชื่อเหมือนกับชื่อวงอย่าง MAGiCAL PUNCHLiNE อย่างเป็นทางการในวันที่ 20 กรกฎาคม ซึ่งทั้ง 6 เพลงในมินิอัลบั้มนั้นก็ทำออกมาได้สมกับคอนเซ็ปต์วงเอามากๆ มีลักษณะซาวน์ที่ฟังแล้วรู้สึกถึงเข้าถึงโลกแห่งเวทมนตร์และยังแฝงความน่ารักสดใสเอาไว้อยู่ด้วย เพลงหลักของมินิอัลบั้มชุดแรกของพวกเธอมีชื่อเพลงว่า มาจิกาโย!? บิริบิริ☆พั้นช์ไลน์ (Magiかよ！？ BiliBili☆パンチライン) ซึ่งชื่อเพลงนั้นมีแอบเล่นคำพ้องเสียงคำว่ามาจิเคิ่ลเป็นคำว่า มาจิกา ซึ่งในภาษาญี่ปุ่นแปลออกมาได้ว่า จริงอ่ะ? หรือจริงๆนะ!

For their achievements, after they have officially organized their debut event on 26 March this year, they also have released their first mini album, named after their group’s name, MAGiCAL PUNCHLiNE on 20 July. The concept of magical fantasy as well as girly have been felt through their voice and sound in all 6 songs in this mini album. The lead song of this mini album is called “Magikayo!? BiliBili☆Punchline (Magiかよ！？ BiliBili☆パンチライン)” which the word Magikayo seems to be similar with the word majika in Japanese language, means really!? as well.
